Dr. Shakeela Banu

Dr. Shakeela Banu is a Junior Consultant Psychiatrist with an MD in Psychiatry and extensive training across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency mental health settings. She completed her postgraduate training at The Oxford Medical College, Bangalore, with additional clinical exposure at NIMHANS in Addiction Medicine, Neurology, and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.

Her expertise includes the diagnosis and management of mood disorders, psychotic disorders, anxiety disorders, substance use disorders, and neuropsychiatric conditions. She is trained in prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications and has hands-on experience in Modified ECT and ketamine therapy. Skilled in CBT, MBCT, ERP, and supportive psychotherapy, she follows an evidence-based, patient-centred approach.

Dr. Shakeela is fluent in Kannada, Hindi, Urdu, and English, enabling her to support individuals from diverse backgrounds with clarity and compassion.
