Dr. Aheli Dey

Dr. Aheli Dey is a Consultant Psychiatrist (MBBS, DPM) trained at the Central Institute of Psychiatry (CIP), Ranchi — one of India's premier psychiatric institutions. She completed her MBBS at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, KLE University, Belagavi, and her Diploma in Psychological Medicine (DPM) at CIP, where she trained as a Junior Resident in Psychiatry under Dr. D. Ram.

Since 2021 she has practised as a Consultant Psychiatrist across several hospitals and clinics in and around Mysuru, offering diagnostic assessment and evidence-based pharmacological and psychological management for adults. Her clinical and research interests include addiction psychiatry — her dissertation and published work examined vitamin D, calcium metabolism and craving in alcohol dependence — alongside mood disorders, anxiety and psychotic disorders.

Her research has been published in the Asian Journal of Psychiatry, and she has presented at and attended national and zonal conferences of the Indian Psychiatric Society. Dr. Dey brings an evidence-based, client-centred approach to care and consults in English, Hindi, Bengali and Kannada.
