People seek therapy for a variety of reasons, including a crisis, a loss, a big life change, sorting things out in order to live a better lifestyle, or improving relationships. The first contact with the therapist is to collect information and history in order to design a strategy to address the needs of each individual/family. Individual, group, and/or family counselling sessions are possible.
Each session is usually 45 to 50 minutes long. Your therapist will work with you to build a regular regimen that is tailored to your individual needs. A person may attend counselling two or three times, or they may opt to stay until they have achieved their life improvement goals.
