About Ms. Amritha Girilal
Amritha Girilal is a Clinical Psychologist (M.Phil, Clinical Psychology) with two years of clinical experience and a strong commitment to evidence-based practice. She completed her M.Phil in Clinical Psychology at Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education & Research, Chennai, holds an M.Sc in Clinical Psychology from the National Forensic Sciences University, Gandhinagar, and a BA in Psychology, Sociology and Economics from Jain University, Bangalore.
She works across a broad spectrum of concerns — personality disorders, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, OCD, and addiction, alongside neurodevelopmental conditions such as ADHD, autism and learning disabilities. Her practice also covers anxiety, depression, stress, relationship and family difficulties, and trauma, spanning children, adolescents, adults and geriatric clients, with additional focus on dementia and Alzheimer's care, corporate mental health (EAP), queer-affirmative therapy, school wellness, and biofeedback.
For Amritha, meaningful therapy must be rooted in evidence, and she continually refines her approach to honour the trust people place in her. Her aim is to create real, lasting impact in the lives of those she works with, and in the wider conversation around mental health care. She practises at Cadabam's Hospitals, Whitefield, and consults in English, Malayalam, Hindi and Tamil.
