YourStory article clipping — Cadabams Group invests $7.3M in AI-powered mental health platform MindTalk
YourStory covered Cadabams Group's $7.3 million (Rs 65 crore) investment in MindTalk, a 'Deep Agent' for mental health that combines large language models, conversational AI and adaptive learning under clinician supervision. Founded in 1991, Cadabams operates 42 centres across India and the Maldives, plans to expand to 150 to 160 centres with 3,500 beds, and aims to make MindTalk accessible to at least one million users.

Cadabams Group has announced a $7.3 million (Rs 65 crore) investment in its newly launched digital mental health platform, MindTalk, YourStory reported. The capital will be deployed over the next 12 to 18 months to strengthen MindTalk's AI infrastructure, enhance its deep learning capabilities and accelerate the integration of clinical research into the platform.

A 'Deep Agent' for mental health

"While a partial portion of this investment we have committed has been put into this platform already, the rest will be invested in the next 12 to 18 months. With MindTalk, we are building a clinically intelligent digital companion that can bring structured mental healthcare to anyone with a smartphone, without losing the rigour and empathy of real-world therapy," said Sandesh Cadabam of Cadabams Group.

MindTalk is being developed as a "Deep Agent" for mental health, combining advanced artificial intelligence with clinical expertise. It integrates large language models, conversational AI and adaptive learning systems under clinician supervision to deliver evidence-based, structured guidance aligned with professional mental healthcare standards. Unlike general AI wellness tools or self-help chatbots, it is designed to support measurable therapeutic outcomes.

Scaling access

Founded in 1991, Cadabams operates 42 centres across India and the Maldives and has served more than 275,000 patients. The group plans to expand to 150 to 160 centres with 3,500 beds over the next few years, complementing that growth with technology-driven platforms such as MindTalk. It aims to make MindTalk accessible to at least one million users in the coming years, addressing India's growing demand for mental health services.
