Schizophrenia is a severe psychological condition that leads to delusions, hallucinations, and highly deranged behavior. As a result, an individual won't be able to think, express, and act rationally. Often, schizophrenic patients may be unable to differentiate their thoughts from reality. A few schizophrenia patients can also become violent. Ultimately, the chronic disorder impairs the person's functioning at school, work and affects relationships. The psychological condition can even start in kids from the age of 5 to 6 years.

2. What are the causes of Schizophrenia?

There is no exact cause related to Schizophrenia. However, the combination of brain chemistry, genetic, and environmental factors can trigger Schizophrenia, as per research. Further, variations in the brain's chemical neurotransmitters that transfer messages from one nerve cell to another can also cause this chronic mental health problem.
